Never thought I'd see the day when diggler is talking honda swaps and mad vtec yo!

last time i read about it, that car was actually only a civic cx, not the uber mpg getting vx. and he still gets like 70+mpg with it. the aero is a huge deal when trying to get big hwy mpg... moreso than the weight.
im not that hardcore about it though.

I also did some research and found. Using a shorter route to work I can save over 1500 miles a year and 2.50$ a week in fuel cost. Even though the shorter route gets lower mpg. Like a free trip down to fl mileage wise and when it comes time to trade it in. Miles are a factor.

More like Howard Hughes without the money, with a little Mort Goldman thrown in.

...but then i spent alot of money on the drivetrain and all that stuff trying to make it reliable as a daily driver for the next couple years. vtec-e engine out of a '95 civic vx, highway gear'd trans came out of a '90 crx hf, and i had to do a shit ton of wiring to get everything to work without throwing a check engine light. obd-0 to obd-1. swaps are common in the honda world, but not this one. it has wierd stuff like a 5 wire wideband o2 sensor, digital egr valve, as well as the other swap stuff like obd1 dizzy, vtec solenoid, vtec pressure switch, etc. there was alot of stuff.
wheels came off of a '99 civic hx. it looks like hell, but gets great mpg and has a huge cargo capacity.
My 88 civic was averaging 42 before it burnt two valves and shit canned itself. Now it gets a measly 33 with the Acura Ls swap.
