This is Shane's intro. thread, but...

Corpus ain't the top of the line representative of Texas (kinda like comparing Beaufort, SC)...but I'd take it in a hot minute.

Not wanting to offend some of you Charlestonians, I'll leave out the major reason I dislike this City (or moreover, the state). Besides..it couldn't be mentioned publicly, anyhow.

Some of the minor issues with this region is the swamp weather. I'll take the dry heat of Texas, and the middle east, over this boggy river bottom crap.

The issue of S.C. drivers and their Jalopies will not be touched with a 10-foot pole, either.

Let's just say that everyone has a "home"...and this one ain't mine.

P.S. For god's sake, could we lobby for at least a Whataburger, Taco Cabana, Grandy's, Taco Beuno, Don Paublos, Jack in the Box, Cheddars, or Dave & Buster's in Charleston? This "Major" city is lacking in the mainstream restaurant department.

Kiley I am with you. What shocked the hell out of me was no KRYSTALS/Whitcastle, Dave & Busters (have the commercials for them ) and no freakin Whataburger. Hell what about TasteFreeze?

If you want wings, chinese or mexican than this is the hell hole for you to eat. Oh and sonics.

There also isn't any BEVERAGE BARNS/Castles. We could go on.

ON TOPIC

Welcome again shane.

OOOOOOhhhh, I understand, now. You guys want more FAST/JUNK food joints. I'm ok with this problem now. (Kiley, we'll have to work on the "Beer Barn" thing, whatever it is) Don Pablos, Krystal Burger and Grandy's didn't make it here. Too bad, because they were ok.

This town has more GREAT restaurants per capita than anywhere you mentioned. 2 Five Star resorts are in the area (The Sancuary and Woodlands, not that I can afford them). Take your wives downtown or Shem Creek instead of going to Sams.

The jalopies come with the territory. I can't explain the bad drivers, but at least they make you look like an expert in that department.

And, Jr. When did you start worrying about beverage stores, lightweight? lol

Flame on boys!!

BTW, Welcome Shane. I bet he can't wait to get back here.

I like don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

I was just in Austin, Tx and I want a Dan's hamburger here. That place was the shit. I also want a Stake and Shake.
