so does the GTO use a weird stock battery size too? I'm having a helluva time finding something better than a normal wet battery in 94R

Don't worry about weight, you should upgrade your bumper first.

Yes. You have to special order them from ACDelco.

I took my OEM battery into a parts store and found a yellow top (35 or 38 can't remember) that was almost the same size. It fit in the stock tray perfectly.

I like showing up to car meets having a car that tucks more tire in fender then the cars on air bags.

Are those things you have done already or are on the list of "to do"? Looks like an extensive list, but expen$$ive to do.

Until I bought the car I have now, I never really realized how big a factor weight really was. I've had faster cars (f-bodies) but none ever moved or braked like what I have now because they were 700 lbs. heavier. Go for it Mike, drop all the weight you can, you'll be amazed. There are some guys on the vette forum who have even changed over to 4lb. Lithium batteries in their car. That will never be an option for me ($300-1,700 for a battery) but i have considered an AGM lightweight battery for events where I want it to matter.

Auto/Manual? (I want to say Manual)

Auto weights a good bit more.
