had to stuff a clutch in the chevelle.

had a walmart bag on tail shaft of the tranny, with tie wrap on it

was wrassling the tranny back in last nite, had wife on the business end of the jack, lifting up the front.

she said "um, it's leaking....."

i thought, oh the wally world bag ripped and was dripping its little bit of contents....

NO...it was GUSHING out the tail shaft. soon, i could feel my chest & side & back getting soaked.

just kept working, rolling around in it, till i had the tranny in the bellhousing, and up on the rear cross member.

crawled out from under the car, pulled my shirt off, and good grief....:fial:

i just grabbed a squeegee, and had her squeegee the gear lube off me.

stink stank stunk.

and she made plenty of rude comments :bigthumb:

she used to get under her first Z28 alot, she did starter, heater core, tranny fluid & filter.

she don't care now, she helped a bit on the nova, but not enough to warrant keeping it.


had a few buddies with lifts, but with indecision of what to do, and taking a week to order in the parts, was easier to do it 'CHP Style' on jackstands.


Matt said his stands inch closer to his car if he dont drive it enuff, and i believe that, troof!
