Default THoughts on youtube video

Before ya say it..sure two turtles....

But here is a video of a Terminator and a 5.0 racing from SVT Performance forum. The 5.0 guy posted of course so it got a little heated. From the looks of it the Cobra didn't hit boost till the race was nearly over. No driver mod, wrong gear etc etc on the Cobra. Thoughts...

That was ugly. Cobra must have grabbed some 4th when he should have grabbed some 3rd. Either that or there is something mechanically wrong with the car.

Well if both were stock, the 5.0 had the advantage. Cobra 390hp/5.0 412hp

True. BUT, Cobra 3375 pounds vs. 5.0 3533 pounds

Plus the Cobra is about 60lbs more from the one source I found. If they were stock with same driver I'd go with the GT. But in this video the GT got the jump. Shitty video and driving on the Cobra owners part IMO.

Hmmm. Checked a couple different sites and got the average numbers in my above post.

Stock for stock the 5.0 takes it... but not that bad of a beating like in the vid. He was in the wrong gear for sure, the blower wasnt barely even screaming. They are close to the same weight. Cobra around 3800 with driver, the 5.0 is closer to 3700 with a driver. Its a drivers race between the 2 cars stock... obviously the guy driving the cobra just bought it... seeing as the sticker is still on it haha... give him a month and rematch. In a month the cobra guy will just toss 300 bucks at it and be running 500hp with a pulley change, the 5.0 guy can buy... a intake maybe and be running 420.

Also thats with the motor new... Those things are coming up on 8 years old vs a car still likely in the first 5 thousand miles of its life.

Maybe the a closer race if the Cobra driver would pay more attention to driving (especially in a damn street race) rather then filming his dash... Or did he almost drop the camera because all the wind coming in after the 5oh blew his doors off?
