I am telling you guys, unless you protect yourselves, you will be find yourselves on a cold slab with either your remaining family members or some coroner trying to identify your corpse.

These f-ing degenerates will only get more desperate and more ballsy as time goes.

I hope one of these f-ers try anything to my family.

God blessed me to be trained by the best shooters in the world!

So the guy shoots at these innocent people and is then released on a personal recognizance bond??? WTF?? Isn't that attempted murder?

Reading between the story's lines:

Rice Drive in West Ashley is in Forest Park off Playground Rd. It has historically been a high crime area. So the "victims" may not be so squeaky clean. This happened back in Sept. and by the looks of his head the perp has probably been in the hospital the whole time.

Full jail. The dude's in a wheelchair. He's not a flight risk and his danger to the community dropped drastically with that lopsided head.

As for a lawsuit against the shooter, there would be zero liability. No lawyer would take the case because there would be no chance of recovering any money even IF a judgment could be obtained against the shooter. There would be no applicable insurance coverage.

Of course this is all conjecture based upon what a news story says. Reporters get the most basic shit wrong all the time so I place very little faith in what the "news" reports.

I think that is some story somebody made up. Find the article and I will believe it.

The guy in the wheel chair was committing a felony when he got shot by somebody defending their self. He wasn't on his property. His accomplice better be glad he lived because if SC law is like most states he would have been charged for the murder.

The best way to be "judgement proof" is not to have any meaningful assets in your name. It's best to have stuff like that in a dead relative's name. All you have to do is make sure any applicable property taxes are paid up and live your life without the threat of being sued for frivolous stuff.

Dude should have finished the job of defending himself. Thats almost a gaurantee that the judge will only hear one side of the story, if it went to court..

Probably release on a PR bond because they knew he wouldn't run away.
