I agree with the comments on the studs, the wheel turned back wards as soon as it came loose, or maybe the axle snapped right at the lug end?

some good pics on there.

Speaking of stud stress on 4 lug fox body axles, I have had a couple sets of axles brought to me to drill and tap for 5/8" studs. I noticed the stock 1/2" ones laid back on both sets before I pressed them out. Whew!

If you have 5 stud axles, that's at least 25% stronger than 4 lug. If you are making some power on 4 stud axles and are sticking it to the ground, stepping up to 5/8" studs would definitely be in your interest if you have wheels that will go over them.

I just replaced my 1/2 studs in a 5 lug application with 5/8. All the 1/2 studs are bent.

You can go pretty fing fast in a flimsy tin can. Doesnt mean you should. There are a lot parts on a car that will get you into the 5's.. a few times...

You must have taken the LD classes at come back school.

FYI, a gbody weighs less than an fbody, you know the car the ls1 came in from the factory.

This is pretty simple, open the thread, watch the vid, and respond: Oh dayums, upgradin your studs dood.

Dont say so in so went warp speed on tiny studs in a 4 lug axle like is a fucking accomplishment, its not, its fucking stupid to go 5.30's on fucking 4, 1/2 studs.

Any more stupid comments?
