Default Is Comcast internet any good?

We've had AT&T DSL in my new house for a little over 6 months and it has been a nightmare. Its constantly going out and is slower than hell. My wife called Comcast and signed up for their 16mbps service and I was curious if anyone had experience with it? All I need the internet for is playing PS3 online, web browsing, and lots of porn watching. Will I be satisfied with this speed? Bare in mind that I don't know jack shit about this stuff. Thanks for the help!

I switched from AT&T a few months ago, night and day difference. AT&T sucks.

It can't be any worse than AT&T that's for sure!

What neighborhood do you live in and I will tell you. 16meg service is no different than 8 or 6 meg service. Comcast uses the throttling bullshit. So anything over 6 meg plan throttles to 22meg. If you get docsis 3.0 package.....its 50 megs or 100meg down, 20-30 meg up. And throttles to around 120ish meg.

We had AT&T DSL, it was absolutely terrible. It constantly went in and out. Was also slow as hell.

Went to Time Warner and haven't looked back.

Sadly that is a hit or miss area. I did work that area as a tech. But I had a few trouble calls, but not much.

The shitty part is you're tied to and being fed from old USA Cable main line. Comcast is not about replacing old cable....if it works they use it. So those new houses off Bushy Park road? They are being fed by the same.....its shitty out there.

If you ever have issues LMK, can always ask a buddy to check you out.

When they have the installer come in, get their name and tech number. I will tell you if hes a good installer lol

I'm not by Bushy Park. I'm off North Rhett by the super Bilo. They will be out Monday at 5 so I will shoot you a PM with their name and stuff.

Thanks for the insight!

Fed off the same main line, different nodes.

If the Naval Weapon Station is out, you will be out as well.
