I am building a small project for an engineering class, the project isnt very detailed and the price is limited. We have 70 dollars total to spend.
Our current idea is to build a commercial grade trash can with wheels etc etc. We are furthering the idea and putting a grate and drain in the bottom to seperate the fluids from the trash. Maybe magnents for tools or other things that would be useful around the garage. I would like some ideas of things that you guys might think would help you out while in the garage. We will be using a 55 gallon metal drum, which will not be deducted from the cost. Thanks!

I was gonna be a smart ass and post a pic of a rubbermaid trash can then I learned how expensive those damn things are.

Wouldn't a drain or some type of opening let flies in?

I was going to try and find some kind of drain with a slide to shut it. But scratch that we are going to try and build a bad ass grill.

I don't think you'd leave the drain open permanently.

With the lack of tools and access to a bunch of different things, I expect most of these projects to be like that unfortunately.
