If obummer loses and there are riots, I have no issue with rioters being shot. Imo, his supporters are enemies of the constitution.

I read the article and came no where close to this conclusion. The article specifically mentions doomsday preppers and lawful gun owners. Statistically how many of those people are obama supporters?

I agree, my comment was based on this:

"Citing not only recent widespread threats to riot if Mitt Romney were to become the next U.S. president, but threats to actually assassinate him should he win, Soldier XÔÇÖs superiors dispensed plans of how the National Guard would be responsible for ÔÇ£taking overÔÇØ and quelling such unrest."

Exactly as I understood the article. The powers that be are stretching way out of bounds by trying to link doomsdayers as being Romney haters. If anybody hates Romney, it is about half the US population on the gubmint dole. That's the real threat should a Romney presidency come about.

Doomsday preppers by nature are not ones to depend on anything the gubmint is handing out. If anything, they wish government would just stay out of their lives.

It doesn't matter which political party is in the majority. Their puppet strings are pulled by the same puppet masters. Even the Bush administration didn't let a good crisis go to waste following hurricane Katrina. That was nothing more than a beta test to see how easy disarming the populace would be under the guise of a crisis. The puppet masters are just waiting for - if not outright engineering - another crisis in order to sell the next phase of populace control to the masses.

LIKE! I got nothing from the article about riots. Doomsday preppers are a little off no matter who they support (or choose not to so as to not rely on the government).

How are "preppers" a little off? For granted many of the "when ______ happens i am prepared" is crazy, but in general they are able to support themselves and family "off the grid" if need be. You also have to realize some consider people who grow their own food, do canning, and even hunt/fish for food supply is consider a prepper. It has been said in the past that the government is trying to find ways to either tax said people for their own food supply, or even limit the amount of food you can grow yourself. I will have to dig for that information, but i remember reading it last year.

One way the government views those that grow and hunt for their own food is they are not participating enough in the "economy". When self-sufficient folks aren't re-circulating enough money back into the economy for food and other necessities, that means less money changing hands that normally would get taxed to feed the machine. The whole tax system is structured on the basis of the government getting a cut of the action every time a dollar changes hands. If self sufficient folks are settling matters with one another by barter - such as trading vegetables for meat - it is a lot harder for "income" to be defined for tax purposes (aka control via the end of a gun barrel).

Ahem. You stated it. Growing your own food / living "off the grid" is one thing. The folks im talking about are the ones that think all the canned food / ammo is going to get them through a nuclear holocaust.
