You were running a wet kit the injectors should only have been supplying the motor. I would not put 42's on your new motor, but you will need new injectors if you go blower.

^^^ +1 That motor would run like shit if you were not spraying nitrous. Probably would run like shit even with nitrous. 24 Lb. injectors is all I would run on a big shot. 19Lb for up to a 150 shot.

wtf does injector size have to do with the size of the nitrous shot on a wet kit?

The orifice in the fuel solenoid is far more likely than a clogged injector. Fact is you had been pushing it for a while and you had to know 175 was gonna be pushing it for real. On an lsx or sbf it wouldn't be a problem though, but you have a different style motor.

You had a failure in two separate cylinders they don't share injectors. Also could have been something on the fuel jet. Really no way of telling, but I still stand by the 175 shot.

42s wont make it run like shit at all, randy can tune all of that out for the most part. Unless you were trying to go way bigger than your goals like 80s or 120s then it would run like crap. 42s will be fine especially since you are upgrading anyways.

I believe he was talking about if his injectors were stopped up enough to lean it out before the motor blew. There is absolutely no reason to run 42's on the motor until you put the supercharger on. If the injectors were the issue you would have just broken up things in one cylinder unless you got pieces up through the intake and back down into another. That would show damage a lot differently though. Do yourself a favor Justin and run it as is on motor or maybe spray until you do the supercharger then change injectors and retune at that time. Also I would suggest towing it when you do change injectors to let randy update the computer.

I'm with hawk on this one. Its not an injector hungry push rod 5.0. Until you have a huffer on there I wouldn't really bother with the 42s.

42s seem small for a supercharged V8.

Just as Chris, Brian and others are have said he needs to upgrade all of the fuel system at that time depending on how much he turns up the boost. With his propensity for a little more now and a little more tomorrow justin may not need 42's for long.
