Probably. You may throw a chunk at something on the truck or damage the rim.

I have done it before. Put painters tape/racers tape on the quarter panels. And just right after they POP .....STOP! That is if the hoosiers have some type of rim protector on it.

Most of the time fenders get damaged from the tread flying from the tire. With your tires being worn to the cords on a 2 ply tire there should be no tread to fly off. I would be more concerned about damaging the wheel spinning at 35+ MPH and hitting the ground. But if you do it, please get someone with a camara to get it. Maybe start a poll to see who guesses closest.

We talked last night an figured some bleach, a camera, a jack and his stock tires should come in handy if he want to do it at all.

I took em up to the tire place and told them "I seemed to have developed a slight problem with my tires" I explained that "fix a flat wouldn't work and I needed them to install some tires that were erogonomicaly correct".

You should have seen the suprise on their face when I pulled them out of the bed of the truck.
