A good jack

I was thinking about going and getting an aluminum jack today from Sears like the one Mike has.

Just curious as to what my other options would be aswell for a good jack.

I got one from NAPA. It's friggin huge! Like 3 ton capable or something like that. The only reason I got it was because this one came with stands. They had the exact same jack, without stands, for the same price. They realized their prices were messed up but sold it to me that way anyway.

Chris, the aluminum jacks are better for the track because we are not "BIG TIME" racers and we rarely get to be on the pavement so we are constantly picking up the jacks and moving them place to place in the grass, those big jacks get heavy after a while, so in my opinion, u never really change the front tires at dorchester to put skinnies (some of the aluminum ones are only a 2 ton limit and have a little trouble lifting the entire front end of the lightnings) on the front so the aluminum jack should do well for what you want. Even if you ever wanted to change the front ones, you could just do one side at a time. Just my opinion?

Yeah I was planning on aluminum I dont want to haul some big heavy mofo around.

I like Mikes jack and also your dads. What kind does he have?

He has two yellow ones that are JEGS that are 2 ton and are light as hell, he also has one that is a craftsman 2 1/2 ton that is a little heavier, all of those are aluminum, and the one big one is a 4 ton and weighs a ton but we never take that to the track we leave that here to use around the house when the trucks are in place.
