My neighbor has a 70 or 80 something Goldwing. I will see if he would like to sell it. I think I've seen him ride it twice in 10 years.

I talked to my neighbor. His bike is a 79' and it's a 1,000cc, not an 1,100. He would be interested in selling it. If you think it will work, let me know and I'll get you his number. I think it could be made to look like the one in the 2nd pic. It does not have all the fairing stuff on it.

If so im interested. BUT remember CHEAP is good. I really didn't expect to find anything NEAR this soon. Therefore the chunk of money to buy one isnt as large as I'd like it to be.

It does look similar to that, just without the fairing. It's medium blue, but I don't think it's running right now. It's been sitting so long that the carb/s probably needs to be gone through.
I'll see if he can get a picture. The bike is located in West Ashley, near Hwy. 61 and Bees Ferry Rd.

Cool, Get me a picture if you can. Maybe an asking price to. With it sitting and not running hopefully that'll mean cheap!

Thanks, Im gonna see what Whaler can dig up for me on the 79. I have been doing some reseach. The older "non dresser" Goldwings actually work a little better for this type of conversion. The added weight of all the fairings and stuff can actually play with the handling of the bikes once you remove it. IF I cant find anything I'll still be looking at the mid 80's stuff again.

Less than $1,000. He's going to try to get me a couple pics. He bought it back in the mid 80's with around 12k miles on it and it still has less than 20k on it. He said he's not sure of what it needs because it's been sitting in the garage so long.
