WhatÔÇÖs the going rate for shingles now days installed? Was contemplating doing them myself but I think it might be too big of a job to tackle....... I'm not in a big hurry but if you guys have anyone you would recommend I'd appreciate it...

I think when we did my roof last year I paid a little over $3k with 30 year architectural shingles for installtion and all materials . And as for recomendation I don't have a clue , I won't recomend who did mine because I had to get his messicans over there 3 different times to clean up all the nails left behind in the yard and such .

Unless you have done it before I would not recomend trying to do it yourself.
I did it when I was a lot younger. Not something you just figure out.

ROGER ROOFER is who did my parents neighborhood. Unsure on pricing. He seems like a dick, so you might be able to get a good deal from him :lmao:

Yea, it isn't something I would try if you haven't done it before.
1) its hot on the roof
2) Lots of cleanup to do
3) Time consuming

We did my roof in about 2 days. It isn't that bad if the roof isn't real steep or if the roof is mostly flat. A lot of peaks and valleys makes it harder. The clean up sucks and getting rid of the shingles too. You def. need a nail gun so that it goes a lot faster. Also, if you can, have the shingles set on the top of the roof so that you don't have to carry them up on a ladder.

Are you wanting to do the whole roof or just fix a patch?

Roger's Roofing
Dan Rogers

He is a nice guy, does good work, comes back if needed for warranty- never been a dick to me. He has probably roofed around 50 houses for me.

Going rate on a new roof (not a tear off) is $110.00 a square plus flashing.
