is there a machine shop between Charleston and Brunswick that can get a block and rotating assembly done in 2 weeks or less and not charge an arm and a leg??

I have always used Simmons Balancing, they did all the work for my motor and had it done really quick. As for the price, eehh, it was alright. I had it vatted, honed, clearances checked, internally balance, crank turned, balanced and chamfered and it ran me around $400

It's a misfire I actually hade some kid with 300ZX want to race me for $300 a while back so when I came up to K-mart to meet him, he told me he didn't want to run me because my car sounded like it was running bad and that he didn't want to be responsible for me breaking... LMAO the funny about it is that he was 100% serious! Funniest thing ever!

I'd be interested in knowing also, as I have a motor that needs machined. Are there any more options besides Simmons?

Dan Corbin @ Camtech Machine shop 514-9414 tell him Darryl said to call. He does all my stuff with the exception on balancing, he doesn't have a balancing machine. But other than that excellent work at a very good price..
