Default FS: 1988 4.3 S-10 king cab, locked up motor - nice

140k Miles.

buddy lived in VA, drove this truck down, started making a noise after.

the noise got progressively worse, last night it made the "bad sound" and no longer turns over.

the shame of it is, its' a NICE truck! it looks so good, I hate to scrap it.

newer goodyear Viva tires, 215/70r15
shocks look recent, rode nice & quiet & drove straight, i enjoyed driving it.

new alternator, new starter (may be toast from testing)
new OEM cat back muff & tailpipe.
new Pioneer head unit
rear slider,
rear jump seats.

has AC, non functional.

seats could use a shampoo & a new carpet if you wanted a show truck,
but for a DD, its VERY CLEAN.

bed looks good, has rails from some old tonneau cover.

he wants to ask $700 as is.

here's the rub: the title is still in his storage unit in VA, so it may take a few weeks to get the title, till his furniture gets moved down here by the Military.

nothing major, just surface stuff underneath, on the frame like all trucks have, but no sheet metal penetration that I have noticed. it's a NICE TRUCK.

to be clear, the engine is TOAST, it was making several different noises when it was running, and the Oil PSI jumped to the tune of the banging.
and that was when it was running & driving, then the final BANG shut'ed down

yeah, Chris, that is what makes me wonder. little 4.3 shoulda kept on going...

$500, that would be scrap value.

no title, it's in Virginia in a storage center somewhere, i guarantee you wont ever get a title, unless you go thru VA DMV.

Personally I fell in love with the rear seats that face each other, the futuristic 2D dash, and the "truck" lettering on the door panels, you know, in case you forget. lol
