Default Good conceal carry pistol

Looking for something slimmer than my glock 30. I carry it in the waist band of my hip. Looking for something decently priced and will be reliable if not shot for a while. What y'all think and why?

I'm a ruger fan if youre comfortable with a 380 I'd go lcp. If you prefer larger the sr9c.

I'm poor so I don't have any experience with the more expensive guns.

I'm a huge SA fan, so my vote goes to an XDS.

I like my XD-S .45. Haven't shot anyone yet though.

If you are a fan of .45 in your G30, the Springfield Armory XD-S in .45 is hard to beat for its slim size. A few folks I regularly shoot with have them and they rave about how manageable they are for their size.

The Walther PPS is a great shooter in a slim package, too. Another guy I shoot with shoots one in regular matches and gives a lot of guys with full size guns a run for their money. Its kind of ugly, but the ergonomics are superb. Can't argue with function, though.

For what its worth, Glock did come out with a G30S. It has the same mag capacity as the G30, but has the slimmer slide of their 9s and .40s. But I gather you may be looking for something slimmer than this.

If you stay with .45, be aware that the .45 round starts to lose a lot of its potential in barrels shorter than 4". 9mm and .40 seem to not drop off as much terminal performance in shorter barrels.

Anyone heard if the XDS will be releasing a .40 yet?

Pretty happy with my XDS .45. Recently I saw the M&P Shield 9mm and .40 for $299 which is a hell of a deal though.

XDS is next on my list of carry options. Bigger than my 938 but not quite my 1911. Figure it's just right.

Another +1 for XDS, but i have it in 9mm. I use the IWB sticky holster remora. Very happy with both, they sit comfortably and don't move around even without a belt on.

XDS also has my vote! Love the feel, shooting, and ease of carry of it.

If your looking for something smaller the glock 42s are sweet, especially considering its a single stack glock!

If it's close to $300 I will take it.

NEW? Not a chance. That's less than my cost.

You can buy it for $299 at Quantico Tactical if you can produce documents making you eligible for their pricing (Active duty, retired, retired medically, LEO, etc).

$349 is the cheapest online price I've found.

I will have this one listed for $350 cash.

It's very fair. They're $400 used all day on armslist. And people are buying them up.

I was replying to your post which implied it would be close to $300. No big deal if it's not. I know what they cost, I have 3. I can buy for the $299 online, I was just going to buy local if it was the same deal.
