Default Wheels for the V or Project Car?

Cannot make up my mind so just want to hear some opinions. I'm torn between getting some new shoes for the V or a project car (most likely a dsm) to tinker with. Both will be about the same price wise, around $2500 for wheels, tires, and trailing arms for wider tires to fit. But I will be able to sell my stock wheels and tires for at least $1500 to recoup some of the cost. See below for what it will look like. Thoughts?

Easy, hands down project car. Leave the V alone. The stock wheels look good on it, nothing wrong with them at all. Get yourself a project car.

Already have about 5k set aside for investing in something other than my 401k, thinking about some aggressive mutual funds or index funds.

x2. The most I would do to a v is full exhaust and a tune.

I vote project car. We all know what neal would do. Pull it apart in the garage and never finish it.

Lol. I was leaning towards wheels but y'all got me thinking. Only thing is there will be a continuous stream of money going into a project car...

Well duh, its a project. If I had saved what I have spent on the last 3 cars i could buy a new CTS-V cash money. But whats the fun in that.
