Big media scare frekin walmart and lowes and every other store are out of batteries, propane, lamp oil, camping stoves and lanterns.

Maybe its just me, growing up in Florida and all. This storm "Hannah" would be nothing more than a sunday afternoon shower

My worst fear is, people may see this as no big deal and think if this is what a hurricane is like its nothing........ Then when the real deal comes around, they don't heed the warning.

don't forget about generators. I took the oppurtunity to by the Honda generator I have been wanting for the track.

I even forecasted the phone call to some of the guys. I said " Watch my wife is going to call and say we need a generator"......and sure enough 5 minutes later she called

...I'm glad the storm didn't come, because my wife would be pissed if she found out I bought a generator that can just barely power a light bulb.

It's perfect for the track though.

Exactly, it's barely a hurricane anymore just a tropical storm. It's moved its course a bit so now we'll just get the outskirts of the storm, no more than a strong thunderstorm. Everybody's upset because I'm still expecting them to come to work the whole day tomorrow....

Got to love the BS the media blasts. And all I hear at work is "hugo". Ok, it was a hurricane that destroyed tons. But come on people. Experience more than just 2 in your lifetime and than talk about it.

Magoo, I am going through the same right now. A couple of people are heading to ATLANTA over it. Damn pussies. F you LOCAL MEDIA!
