It will be another turtle killer... coughslowgreen99cough
I will be picking up a 2001 Z28 w/ 38000 miles on it next satuday. This car will serve as my DD since the truck will be gone this july. The car has a seized motor but comes with a spare LQ9 short block with ARP rod bolts, head studs and cometic head gaskets. The car spun a bearing in the LS1 so I should be putting the LQ9 together with the spare parts that come with it and selling the LS1 Here is a list of Mods and a few pictures. I got this for a steal! by the time I am done with it I will have less that 6k in it. Just though I would share.... 38,000 original miles on body LOTS of mods on the car Enough extra parts to almost build a new motor 2001 m6 z28 mods -bottom end- seized 99 ls1 vette motor -top end- stock 317 casting heads ported with a 3 angle valve job dual gold valve springs rollmaster double roller timing chain ls6 intake bbk 80mm throttle body -other- centerforce dual friction clutch aluminum driveshaft k and n intake 80mm slp maf msd super conductor wires pacesetter headers off road y-pipe magnaflow catback innovate wideband autometer mechanical oil pressure guage interceptor scan guage front slotted rotors hid 8000k headlights -suspension- edelbrock strut tower bar edelbrock adjustable torque arm adjustable pan hard bar bmr tubular k-member bmr sub-frame connectors kyb adjustable struts lowering springs 2" drop front 1 3/4" rear pic of the paint ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() under the hood is alot cleaner now.....i actually cleaned and waxed it ![]()

I was thinking more muave color to match the purple one.
Good luck on the purchase and build. 6.0's can handle a nice amount of power from what I have been seeing.

Thanks guys. It's red, the guys camera is just cracked out or something. I figured this would suit me better as a DD rather then buying my 07 silverado for 16k. I don't plan on doing too much to it after its together because I need it to remain reliable. If I get the itch to mod it then I may just put a kit on it and call it a day.
The car has a TON of mods so I don't think I could do anything else to it other than a brand name set of heads and a rear end. I plan on getting rid of the big cam thats in it and putting something in the 224 range in it to make it less harsh. I hope it's not faster than the LT1 lmao

Now I will have two cars to drag Greg down the track LMAO. I just got back from wilmington about an hour ago actually. We finalized the paperwork and I will be riding up with Zac to pick it up saturday if anyone wants to tag along. LOL, I don't trust my 4.8 pulling a car... had to call in the durtymax.

Well after leaving Charleston around 3am we finally got the car back home. Here are a few quick pictures of the car, it is still dirty and will have ZR1's on it soon. I will update the pictures once the wheels are on the car. I gotta thank Dennis, Zac and John for helping me get this car home from Wilmington today...
Oh, and it turns out the motor is not seized. We had it running today bit the motor is a total loss. It sounds horrible, time to start the tear down. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Still the favorite!

Those wheels and tires will go on the purple car and the ZR1's will go on the red one. The purple car needs some better tires for daily driving anyway.
