Anyone have any experience with them? I know they are two speed, and they draw a lot of current on start up. The dimensions given are just right for my radiator, I just don't have a clue on how to wire the bitch up.
All I'm concerned with is having the high speed. I found something that said to use a Bosch 150 amp relay p/n 0 332 002 156, but I can't find that one. I'm assuming I'd still be able to control the fan by splicing into the pcm pinouts, just not sure what to do. |

I drive it when the weather is nice on the street. But here lately you can't tell what it's going to do.
I know what your getting at, and I don't want to use a switch. If I can find a higher amperage relay I'd like to just replace my stock one for that. Hell I don't even know what amp the stock relay is, I know its a 4 pin relay. |

yea it will be easy doing your fans. your computer should control the ground side and then on a 4 pin relay you have a terminal 85 and 86- one is power one is ground. 30 is the constant 12 volt source. and 87 is your fan. does that clear it up?

or just run 2 relays in paralle(spelling?) and it should cover it. your ecm will only cover one speed so just have it use the high speed.

i think he is worried about the amount of draw that the fan will put on everything. but if he still runs the switched side of the relay through the ecm then it should control when it needs too but i dont think he has ac

here are some things we use when doing the taurus fan on s-series and/or v8 swapped s-series. It will also work for you
http://www.v8s10.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=14222 I am unsure on doing the pinouts. But I believe just wiring the fan up to a switched source (ignition, t-stat controller, or switch) will do just fine. We did a 30 amp relay for dads taurus fans behind his lt1 and no problem at all. His comes up when the ignition is on though (adjustable t-stat controllers SUCK ASS

i say my idea with the relay would be the easiest. i dont like the fact that the fan on my s-10 turns on when the key is on but the wiring is a nightmare anyway so that will be redone soooooooon. if you have the PCM controling the 86 terminal. 85 to ignition. 30 to a constant 12 volt source and 87 to the positive on the fan you will be more then good. and maybe throw an inline fuse. you will be safe

I don't have A/C and will not have A/C. I have to find out what amp relays I have, but I may just wire up the high speed with the stock wiring. My concern is I don't want any wires melting and possibly burning my car down. I found a 70 amp relay from dakota digital with the relay harness for 30 bucks. It's a 5 pin relay though, not sure what has to be done there. |

We are only using the high speed side of the fan. this runs at a constant 4500cfm. You can always get up with us and check how its wired.

I have 75amp Bosch relays at the office, but I cannot imagine an electric fan drawing so much, but I have the relays if you need them, I will have to look up the price..
