I need someone to come check my charge and see if I have any leaks, I know all this rain is playing a big part.......... But my house AC keeps freezing up at nite. I shut the compressor off and run the fan to thaw it out but it just pisses me off when it freezes up and slows the air flow.
Anyone know someone that does good work? |

Good luck with that. lol
How clean is your air filter(s)? You could be low on charge, coil(s) could be dirty. What refrigerant do you have? When do you want it done? I have my gauges and refrigerant in my truck right now as we speak. I do not have all my tools, but I have what you need. Give me a call if you want it done ASAP . I will not be able to get to it until after 6pm tomorrow 813-3157

r-22 .
I typically charge per lb of r-22 . No I have no idea how much it will take if it is low. Give me a call tomorrow and I will bring home my tools if I hear from you before 5.

If it freeze's up at night. Then it's not working properly at all period. There just so happens to be enough load on the evaporator during the day-time hours to keep it from freezing. Hal will fix you up though. I don't do any side work.

Also vehicles use a different refrigerant. So they operate at different pressures. Vehicles of today use R-134a, homes still use R-22, and the new R-410a aka(puron). These two are not to be mixed as they are not miscible with one another. Completely different properties and they use different oil. Mix the two and you will have a recipe to give Hal a whole bunch of money. I'm sure he wouldn't mind.
