With all the crazy rebates going on, I ended up getting a fully loaded G8 GT for $7k off sticker. I have been agaisnt buying new cars for years but couldnt pass this up. Not having a shop anymore and not being able to work on cars like I used to its nice to have something new. Anyone who hasnt seen one of these should check them out. I dont plan on doing to much to it besides maybe a system and of course a tune.

Congrats, I drove one up in Norfolk for a couple months last year. it was a rental so it was the base model and only had the v6. I did like it though and thought it would be bad ass with the v8 and all decked out.

I've been telling the wife we should get the g8 gt. Do you mind saying what you spent on it?

The g8 gt was an option for my wife as well. BUT she has always wanted a FS truck. So I "fullfilled" that wish of hers.
THE gxp is a very nice car. Too bad that alot of dealers add gxp decals to the cars and advertise them as a REAL gqp when it is fake.

I looked at the gxp but to me it wasnt worth the extra money. Getting it tinted Fri, so I should have some pics this weekend if I dont take the boat out.

I was just looking up information on the 6L80E transmission they put in the G8s. This is a totally different platform than the 4L60E and 4L80E. I have found out that GM has been putting these in Corvettes just recently.
Looks like I will have to tool up for another transmission that breaks from GM! WHEEEEE! |
