Hey name is Chris. 2001 Lightning. No mods yet just got it. Hoping to build it up to BEAST status. Been in the Coast Guard for 7 years now. Live in Summerville.

Wanting to hook up so some people can help me get into this engine.

Welcome on board, Chris. We have a decent size group of Lightning owners. Now we need to get everybody together soon. I think a few guys got together at Lowcountry Dragway last Saturday and made some passes. I had to work, but hope to meet everyone face to face soon. Lightning Mike started this board and has a Built engine, Whipple powered monster. A lower pulley upgrade, cold air intake, a traction device and a dyno tune will have you on your way to spending WAAAAY too much on these addictive trucks. Lightning Mike has a couple of different traction devices for sale that would work great. My truck went a best of 8.45 in the 1/8th mile on nothing more than a cold air intake and a set of traction arms.

Damn,Whaler 8.45 on a k&n and traction bars I gotta get me a set now LMAO, maybe then i can take off from a stall and roll on it instead of from idle and punch it.

My truck ran well when it was stock, but has not improved as much as some others once I started modding. It's a sickness that never seems to end.

My truck was pulling 1.8 60' times on the F1's I had, Once I started modding, it was harder to launch. Even on my best run, I had only a 1.806 60' with slicks.
