Default Pics of me road racing

Here are some pics taken with a digital SLR camera as I came down a straightaway and went around a turn. IT was my first time road racing and I must say it was a blast. I certainly enjoy it way more then drag racing..but thats just me perhaps. With it being my first time I wasnt really pushing the car hard until the end of my last session when I really started feeling a bit more comfortable with the car and got good at running the proper lines on the track. I knew brakes, no panhard bar, popped koni strut, and rear tires were going to be the major things, and they were. Overall I'm pretty happy with how I did, and how the car did...so Im certainly hooked, now I need money lol. The suspension setup for the car was..

Saleen Springs (H&R Race equivalents)
Saleen Koni Single Adj. Shocks/Struts
Saleen Strut Tower Brace
Saleen K Member Brace
MM Subframes
MM LCA's
MM C/C Plates
FRPP UCA's
Toyo Proxes 4 tires (worn out rears)
Saleen 5 lug swap
Saleen/SVO front/rear disc brake setup
Stainless steel brake lines
Hawk HP Plus pads

she did good, after a few laps brake fade got fairly bad, so I had to start braking way earlier then I wanted, and aside from about 3 cars...everyone there had a faster car then me lol. My group was a KB'd 5.0, 2 - modular power house s/c'd 99's, fox body with cam/intake/exhaust. I did well in the corners, but I basically would get caught on straightaways. 220rwhp vs. 400rwhp is never good on any track LOL

I had fun, I know what I need to address...now I just need money

drove all the way to talladega, alabama...crashed with friends in ATL who went...had a f'n blast...probably wont road race until I had the few issues with the car that need to be addressed.

This track is "so so" on brakes...the only big thing is there are 3 long straightaways where you basically make it up to 100mph and then slam on the brakes. Now for 500hp cars...they make it up to 115mph or so...and typically they have brembos or wilwoods...getting this pretty stock 5.0 up to 100mph and then using the 20yr old svo/saleen brakes...well they just want to die

Be very careful running your Ford past those corn fields, last time my L went past one it sucked the rods out of my motor. Just a thought.
