Lexan windows on a street car?

More specifically the rear windshield. I am purchasing a fiberglass hatch, and from what I am understanding on other message boards, the glass makes up the majority of the weight. I was thinking of using Lexan in the rear windshield, would there be a problem with this? Against the law in any way? I can have it tinted like normal glass, correct? Or should I just put the glass back in for traction because of all my mad-sick torque from my uncorked badboy cutouts? (Poppin wheelies all over town). I will have a rear-mounted fuel cell, battery relocated to the rear, and an N2O bottle. Help me smart people!

There are alot of places i would cut weight before i put lexan in my street car.

Currently I have a stripped interior, no tar paper, no sound deadener, UPR tubular k-member with tubular control arms... Runnin outta ideas!

It will have Weld Draglites also. Only reason I would do Lexan at this point is so I don't install glass in the new hatch, then have to remove it to install the Lexan

You still got an a/c and a headliner? How about those nice pretty wheels or that cowl hood they cant be that light.

No A/C. Still has a headliner ATM. Like I said it will have Weld Draglites. The hood is fiberglass, but it will be replaced with one not so big
