looking for an 86-early 90's 5.0 tbird, cougar, towncar, markvii, etc.
I dont care if cats have been shitting in it in a field for 5 years as long as it will crank up and drive fast enough that I can verify the aod will get into each gear, I'll buy it if its cheap enough. just looking for a good cheap drivetrain to toss in my ranger since the 2.3 in it doesnt have enough power to even pull my 15' runabout up the boat ramp ![]() preference would place the towncar last and the non-h.o. cougars/tbirds next least but I wont be picky since I'm looking for a complete car so I can use the harness, etc. let me know what you have or what you've seen for sale on the side of the road and where. thanks guys! |

You may want to expand your search to Mustangs, since you will need a Fox oil pan and timing cover. Check out Advenced Adapters for engine mounts and headers. I was going to do this very same thing in a Bronco II, but ended up scrapping the project halfway in for financial reasons. Also, talk to Hal, Jr. (LXtasy) as he has done this before, as well.

yeah, already got two fox oilpans/timing covers as well as 94-95 mustang engine mounts, etc from mustangs I parted out in the past. sucks that you dont realize what you need until you've already sold everything.
just need the actual engine/trans combo with wiring and front dress, etc at this point. |
