I am actually more curious about who pays for that.

Let's say it was a police impound cause he was caught driving. Tow truck driver does that, do they still have to pay?

I know when I was drive a tow truck it was the resposiblity of the Towing Company. Now I do not know if that is just for around here. I tell you what I have had somethings happen when I was towing but that guy should have never been allowed near a tow truck. One a car like that should nver be towed on a whell lift. Two the first timed he dropped it he should have called someone for help.
