Default Midway dragway

Does anyone have the phone number to midway and is the track getting any better since it opened back up? I heard the track needs some more glue and rubber put down .

It's getting there; has a ways to go, but it's much better than it was. 60ft is doable, after that it's a lil skatey. So just be on your toes, and don't try yo drive threw it if everything starts to get a little slip and slide.

Hope this week will bring better results from here on out, they got fresh product to work with so hope to see an improvment. If not, a good fresh start with a scrape, clean, wash and wax may be in order to get the surface up a little better. As with anything, your resulting shine is only as good as your base prep.

> Canndyman > What are those numbers, I don't have either, but the one I have I think is maybe somebodys cell lol.

i want the track to stay open as bad as anybody. it is my backyard not bashing but the surface prep is missing something. broke out in the 6.0 race at manning sunday and can't make a 6.20 pass at midway. and people say that silva is slick. would love to see them get it figured out just don't want to destroy another race car before they do. i will support the track and look foward to better days at midway.

X2. I'm right there with you Freddy. I want them to stay, but I'm thinking something a little different needs to be tried out. Dad told me the track was "sticky" lastnigh, but it was the too thick of glue "synthetic bugger type sticky" and thats not going to get it. I will say tho, from watching my Gmeter, and drive shaft sensors I have learned and tried alot out there; which is about the only thing that allows me to get down that track at the moment.

Maybe this link will help...maybe not, but here it is anyway

if i had to guess i would say that the cleaning part may be overlooked. when eddie first opened the track there was a sand issue in the left lane. he put a plastic barrier on the outside of the rail and the left lane was the lane of choice. when it changed hands someone took the plastic up.and i think the sand my be a problem once again. just my two cents worth.
