Default AC not charging? help/info needed

so the car never blew ice cold...its been sitting for 6 months up until last week and i figured what was left of the charge just gave out....so I empty a 22oz bottle into it just to get the compressor to engage...then bits and pieces of a 18oz and now while the compressor is off the gauge is reading 80-100...then the comp turns on and it falls down to 45-55 then it shuts off again....

did I overfill it....it the guage screwy....is my compressor foqued
