Default '34 Ford update. PONTIAC powered of course.

Here is a quick rundown of the last year in the life of my '34.

Here is last September.

Looks like a car.

Roof chop.

This is today.

Rear end.

Side shot.

The kid helped me bang together the short block.

Not to be confused with some candy assed street rod with a sissy Chevvie crate motor, this ol girl displaces 462 inches and will make 500 horse.

Last one.

Next, I take her apart for paint, body and final assembly. She will be done maybe early summer or so.

See ya, -Abone.

dumb Q

how do you get custom glass made when you chop the roof?

I can see getting a flat plane made, or cutting a flat window

how do you get like a compound curve for a rear window?

nice work.

What I have seen done is lay out, mask off and then sandblast the glass away.

Very wicked.

I was building a 429 powered '65 F100 till somebody made me a deal on a Lightning I couldn't refuse. I'm sure I will miss it real bad when the L needs some work. Can't beat the simplicity of the classics.
