may be stupid but why not get the filter out of the engine bay? or get cold air to it? i never see domestics or ls based cars with the intake out of the engine bay. pull in a little less warm air??

The intake temps haven't really been a problem with either of the TVS systems I've worked with (approx. 20 deg F above ambient by the end of a pull). These SC's have a really good adiabatic efficiency compared to the older maggies and the front heat exchangers magnachager is using in the IC system are huge and seem to do a good job getting the heat out.
As for the air filter, that air intake system is very well sealed from the engine compartment and pulls air from behind the headlight area. He also has the ADM air scoop installed that channels air from the lower bumper opening into the filter compartment. The meth would help, but I don't know if it would be worth the cost at this stage.
