I personally perfer manual in a sports car, but I guess not everyone does. sucks for me, but maybe not for others. Either way, this was fun to drive, the short distance I drove it. Needs a BOV or bypass, and boost guage.

As far as boost, the tuner im sure has it regulated, as far as BOV; Easy fix. I'll get one, and throw it in on the deal, if thats a deal breaker.

It scares me that the car doesn't have a BOV to begin with lol. That turbo could be junk.

I'd spend a little time on that Stang...get a good air/fuel reading and compression test. Curious what the HP/TQ is on it. Maybe low 300ish area...

Its automatic so it doesn't need to have a blow off valve, its not optimal but it wont hurt anything not having it.

Blow off valve helps most on a manual car keeping the turbine rpm's up in between shifts by reducing the pressure and resistance on the compressor wheel so it can come back up to speed faster and make boost, also helps keep charge pipes from blowing off if the kit is not put together with T bolt clamps.

Autos and merkurs don't need one because the throttle body never shuts while shifting.

So you're telling me I wasted my hard earned money on this BOV?

You didn't get the no lift shifting reference?

In all seriousness it wasn't a waste of your money.

BOV on an auto is still a good thing to have. What happens when you lift off the gas? All that excess pressure is forced back into the turbo, forcing it to spin against itself, tearing up the turbo. Just my 2 cents.

Agreed, that's the exact reason I said its not optimal. But one could argue that free wheeling it is also bad.
