I took my car to the muffler shop on remount rd to get an h-pipe made and they did some great work on my car . I've gotten just about all exhaust work done on my cars there and have always been done right . They are right next to the Dodge dealership on Remount and Rivers .

about every muffler shop around here does Crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrap work,if its not the crinkled non-mandrel bent pipe, or the fact that they all try to use carbon steel on our stainless steel exhaust, or the cheap carbon rot mufflers, or the carbon steel weld wire they use on our stainless exhaust, its the welds. Frankly most of the muffler butchers around here try to put it togather with bubble gum.
Do it yourself, its cheaper and you know its done right. Been there, done that. The above route is the one I took. Chris, you like RC's? Have you crawled under your truck lately? I suggest you do, and take a can of Rust-O-leum with you.(I've been under there, it aint pretty) Last edited by DolSVT00; 02-28-2008 at 04:58 PM. |

I agree 100%. Them or DO IT YOURSELF. The muffler shop on Remount isn't bad either. Both are great places. But lurch, if you have the stuff, do it yourself.

BOOM! +1 I didn't even plan on having my cat cut off when I took one of my old rusty cars there back in the day. The dude asked "You want me to cut the cat off?". Me : "Wha..cut off the cat?" Him: "uhh..yeah...do you want to keep this cat or not?" Me: "Cut it off!" Since then...that's the place I go to or recommend to everybody. They do better work than the other 2 muffler shops I've tired. |
