I'm going to take a wild guess and say that reading comprehension wasn't your strong suit in school... Use the vette's power? Where? The fucking track? I didn't buy the car for the sole purpose of hitting the 1/8th mile every Saturday. Where else would I use it to it's full potential? Certainly not on the street. Why not you take your vette to a roadcourse than? 1/4 mile track? Yea, this is a car enthusiast site. But MAJORITY of everyone here races on a track in one way shape or form. DYNO racing and car showing isn't on the top of the list.

Anyway, if you don't think that the Boss 302 is worth 44 large, don't buy one. It's that simple. Just don't come crying to us when and if (big if, here) you take your Chevette to an open track day and get SKRAIT PWNED by someone in a Mustang. The car is built to run around road courses, not to look pretty and post big dyno numbers. As a matter of fact, more power would likely ruin the entire package.

And, to add to what Darryl said, it's a damn shame that some dealers are trying to pull 80 grand out of these cars. That's why many of them will end up collecting dust in some douchebag's collection instead of being flogged on a track as they are meant to be.
