Anyone ever deal with it? I have had it in the past, but nothing like this. My knee is so swollen that I cannot walk. The infected area is about the size of a pong ball and I can not get it to drain. Looks like I will be heading to my doctor or urgent care first thing in the morning to get cut open and packed!

Yikes. Never had it, but a friend did and it wasn't pretty.

Good luck.

I had it in high school when I played football and our dryers broke and they let our towels dry in the sun. Had to cut my leg open. And remove the tissue.

LOL. Lisa had cardiac ablation done to correct an accessory pathway back in 06 and got it from the hospital. Since it's so contagious, it spread. Doctors claim almost everyone has it now, but some do not break out. I am about to have it cut out at 10:45.

Fixed.

Looks bad. MRSA can be very aggressive. Don't want to have to install hand controls in your Camaro.

Almost forgot about this thread.

Anyhow, to go along with that Electech was saying, MRSA can be very aggressive. I had no idea how bad it could get though. I thought my leg was bad until I saw what happened to my mothers arm last week.

This infection was in her Chemo line and infected the whole arm. It took 4 days of IV meds to get it under control and now has almost 3ft of packing in it!

My roomate had a golf ball sized abscess removed from near his junk due to an ingrown hair and developed MRSA. He's just barely getting over it.

Not fun.

Damn, it also looks like what human flesh does after its been hit by a Brown Recluse.

Nobody ever heard of this shit (mrsa) till about 5-6 years ago and now it seems to be everywhere. That or now we are just more informed of it. It has killed lots of people.

My roommate also just had a golfball sized abscess removed from his forearm after popping a pimple, even had the red line going all the way up his arm to his lymph nodes. Freaked me out.

Yeah it's no Joke. I have had about 30 of them in my time, but only a few were bad. I have never seen one as bad as my moms though.
