Didn't know that Jamie thanks. Will be an option in the future for sure. I am fully confident you can handle it, and I hope you see where I'm comeing from. I just don't want to do it yet, I would rather put that money to the mods that will warrant me using your services in the future.
I have a few things to ask you about this if u don't mind. I will PM you about the $ side of it all. |

Holy hell. I find this more humerous than anything else, but I didnt read all the posts, so I have to ask....You are going to spray a vehicle that is daily driven, yet spend money/time with mail order stuff rather than in person, hands on tuning? Im not too sure how forgiving LS motors are, but if you ever change anything, you have to have a retune...which then means getting back with someone elses parts just to datalog a run/drive, so THEN you can send it to PCMforless, and THEN wait on them? Not to mention if you have a small issue (injector, tps, etc) they can show you right then and there and the problem can be fixed before waisting time on a "tune".
Im just trying to make sure im grasping everything. Just put a carb on it and be done.

Damn you too! Lol
Once again, stock truck, getting some juice for weekend fun and a trip to the track every now and then. Rod bolts are being changed to ARP soon, and is so far the only real worry I had about spraying it. The truck is daily driven because it's a blast to drive and I love it. Not because I have to. All you guys act like this is something new. I don't get it. It's an LS motor and a measley little 75 shot. Last edited by PapaBear; 10-25-2011 at 10:16 PM. |

Once again this is only for some trips to the track, and a shot on the street every now and then. It's not like it's going to be used 100% of the time the truck is driven. |

You're one to talk. There's no telling how much money you pissed away running up and down the highway going to the tracks, buying fuel and nitrous and entry fees, NOT TO MENTION ALL YOUR TIME, etc when you could have made one 2 or 3 hour trip to the dyno for a couple hundred bucks and been better off than you probably still are. Not hating, but you know it's true. I bet if you could do it all over again, you would have cranked that rocket ship up and gone straight to the dyno wouldn't you? |

Jaime did the blazers tune (all 500 of them lol) and it only has a cam, nitrous, and converter. Nothing fancy. Their was a noticeable increase in power from the first pull on the dyno to what we have now.
I will say this after reading on tbssowners.com for awhile. If you want alvin to keep on tuning it than go right ahead as he has tons of mail order stuff out there. Could there be more power to be made? Who knows. But IMO, and MY OPINION ONLY, it seems that you do not want to waste your time by going to Alvin to have him retune the vehicle once again, but rather spend the same amount of money doing such a thing. I could be wrong. Why the need for a retune right now if you are going to get someone local to tune it after nitrous is installed? I am just curious on the wasteful spending on the same thing?

Driven heavily, never "owned". Never tuned never installed.
I know where you're goin with this. And I will not put the motor at risk with this by stepping it up until it blows because the 75 got boring. Write that down. |

I want Alvin to adjust the tune to complement the nitrous. That's it. If he was in charleston, he would have already tuned it.
Later, when the nitrous is boring and I don't want do drive the truck so much, I will have a motor built by someone (not tackling that one myself) and tuned by Jamie. |
