Powerglide with 1.82

First off, I want one with the 1.76 planetary. But, can't seem to find one locally. Does anyone know how much power the 1.82 will hold before it breaks? I know a couple people using the 1.82 planetary and are having no issues and running high 5's low 6's in the 1/8th.... I'm just not sure if it will last long leaving off the transbrake and spraying 250 out the hole....
