I'd leave it alone. What is it sc300/gs300? You can get a low mileage trans for real cheap if it goes but those things are beasts. More problems from the electronics part than mechanical part from what I've seen.

And I know quite a few na-t 2jz guys that didn't put their kits on until 250k+ miles and still make 400+who for years.

The is300 bottom end and 5speed auto is considerably weaker than the older stuff.


After owning my 03 LS430, I am a Lexus fan for life. So my plan is once the GS300 is paid off (paid 6k) I will either get a used 08-09 Lexus ISF, or start on a rather large 2jzgte swap. Wont be a record holder, but will be stout none the less. And a mass amount of supporting mods to go with the build.
