Yeah I guess the pad went with the glass but then the pad must have been attached to certain points as the little double sided tape squares were still there.

And Joe, yeah I though about replacing the entire thing housing and all but I thought I might be able to just replace the glass...

Well, I ran a bead of silicone around the outside so it should hold for a while at least. And as I've said, the main reason I need it is to be sure there's not a compact car or something tucked away in the blind spot when I change lanes to the right. The truck has a shell over the bed which makes it hard to see. Without this it wouldn't be hard to just turn around and look.

When I get some dough coming in I'll probably try and get something else for a DD. I have a Trans Am but these days a fuel injected V8 doesn't make for an economical ride.
