Very, very sad event. I don't get emotional over a lot of things, but I've probably loaded that 747 a few times in my career. I don't think there is anything scarier than falling out of the sky in a plane and feel really bad for the crew and their families that were waiting for them to come back home.


Side note:
I wished everyone reporting it would have waited to find out the cause of the crash before pointing towards a load shift. 2T2s are already feeling the heat on this one since they were the last military personnel to touch the cargo (whether it was even 'load shift' to begin with).

-One other thing to note is that these cargo jets (Mil or Civ) take off at a much steeper angle at these airbases, than normal, to achieve a higher altitude before leaving the base's airspace (to minimize getting shot at). So they have less airspeed to play with if things go awry.
