The higher performance 351 Clevelands of the day had monster sized ports in the heads and an open combustion chamber. Those engines didn't wake up good until about 3500 to 4000 rpm. Awesome platform for the rpm range of a tunnel ram intake.

Ours was WEAK out of the hole. Crusing at 55 and frog stomp it and it got plum violent.
