it's a pretty crazy intake....it's actually a 2 piece- if you look close you can see where it comes apart in the middle.

car is slowly being disassembled now with the headers being built and the final things here and there.

I would hate to be the man that has to prep and paint all that!!

looking at the pictures it looks pretty ragedy, so i agree they do it no justice. it should turn out pretty good.

it crazy how much stuff gets destroyed, cut up, grinded on, beat the crap out of, etc when building a car like this from scratch.

Is that intake from Performance Induction Specialties? They just came out with one like that for the LSX world.

Car looks good. Have a question, one a car like that does it come with a base tune from Proline or how does all that work when your buying a ET basically?

my intake and heads came from CFE, that is about all i know about it. i wish i could give you some more info.....

i don't know what the norm from ProLine is, but mine comes with tuning from Steve Petty. I bought the entire drivetrain from them- motor, tranny, convertor, turbo, intercooler, all electronics, etc. So basically, they have noone to blame if the car won't make the power, or won't run the number. It probably cost me a couple extra dollars doing it that way, but i cut out all the finger pointing. Proline is also wiring and plumbing the car and doing the intitial startup. Since the same motor is already in 2 other cars and they have put down some serious numbers (world records), i feel pretty confident about it and so do they.

Here are some more pictures. I thought this was pretty cool-
I wanted the Racecraft Wing on the car so that when i had to open the trunk i didn't have to take the struts loose on the wing to do it. The struts on this particular wing fasten to the trunk lid and not the bumper, so when you open the trunk it all comes up together.
Well, with the same thought in mind- a portion of the parachute mount fastens to the area on the trunk lid where your license plate would normally go. That means when you need to open the trunk, you would have to pull the pins on those two struts to disconnect it from the trunk lid so it would open. (does that make sense??)
So on their own, without me asking, they did it a pretty trick way so that i don't have to take anything loose. They cut the center section of the trunk lid out (where the license plate goes), made a bracket with aluminum on it and ended up with this.....
as you can see, when the trunk is closed, it looks normal, but when you open it everything stays put. I like it.........

i've always liked the wings too- it will actually serve a purpose on this car. it will be powdercoated black before it's all said and done.

Should look good. Hell, the car could be slow as dog balls, and you would still win any call out on here by intimidation alone. (At least me, anyway)

That will never work. The distributor goes in the back of the motor.

wes, do you have the ability to tune this car yourself? what about a crew? these types of cars are not a one man show. i would think you need equally intellegent people putting wrenches on this car between rounds

i dont know you so i may be asking dumb questions
