Default My Nitrous Set-Up is Finished! Well, kinda... **Lots of PICS

I finished up with installing all the nitrous components I currently have today. I'm still waiting on my NX Fire & Ice Pressure Controller, NX Nitrous Filter, and a NOS tube bender to finish the tube for the purge. I'm also waiting on the DGM Carbon Fiber Loom Cover set. I was going to install the NX Bottle Opener I won on EBay, but it doesn't fit right. It seems like it doesn't want to fit with the 45 degree nozzle on my bottle. Enjoy the pics. I know the engine bay is dirty.

Here's some pics of what I started out with...

I bought some extra relays to use for the purge and the pressure controller when I get it...

I have to thank Billy (04 Red Apple) for helping me out every step of the way on this project. He gave me all the info I could ask for and made me these brackets for the solenoids and for mounting the bottle brackets in the bed...

This is the adapter bracket Billy made me to attach to the solenoid bracket so I could mount it to the master cylinder bolts. It fit perfect...

After I drilled the holes for the solenoids and attached them together, I painted them black...

Here's where I decided to mount the gauge and the switch center...

I also bought some of these from McMaster-Carr to use for the connections in the bed for the bottle opener and the pressure controller...

Billy also hooked me up with a section of wiring tray so I could make the install a little neater. I bought some L-Brackets from Lowes and modified them to use with the tray...

I used this Earls 90 degree swivel fitting to tap into the Aeromotive distibution block for the fuel...

And here's the bottle opener, but I don't think it's the right one because it doesn't fit right...

And here's a bunch of pics of the set-up...

Here's where I ran the grounds for the relays and the controller. And also where I tapped the power from...

And here's where I tapped into the TPS signal wire for a WOT signal for the controller. I also tapped into a coil wire for the RPM signal. I tried to make it looks as neat as I could...

Some bed shots...

Here's the bottle pad I got from Race Tested. It looks good and it'll keep the bottle from getting scratched up during re-fills.

I put some velcro strips on the inside of the bottle brackets to keep them from scratching the bottle...

And here are my weathertite connectors waiting for the bottle opener and the pressure controller...

Here's where I relocated my switches for the IC and the E-Fan since I put the switch center where they use to be. I have since hidden the wires.

That's about it. It's jetted for a 75 shot right now, but I may move up to a 100 shot later down the road. Sorry I didn't do a How-To on this, but if anyone has any questions about the install or needs any part #'s let me know.

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas to help me better this set-up, I'm all ears...

Awesome set-up, can't wait to see what it does for you at the track. Looks like you put a lot of work into it.

Looks like a nice setup, but 1 question: Shouldn't the nozzle spray into the throttle body before the supercharger? What benefit do you get by having it spray directly into the back of the supercharger where the air flows down into the intercooler?

There's really no other good spot to spray without going DP. Putting it up by the throttle body is an option I had by using a spray plate, but there's no benifit in doing that. The nozzle boss had already been tapped into the JLP Plenum when I bought it so I decided to use it as the location for my nozzle.

No, not yet. I haven't even filled the bottle yet. I'm going to do that today. When I get the time to break away from work for a while, I'm going to pay ATS a visit and have them burn me some new tunes. Then I'll have some nitrous numbers and maybe a vid...

I finally got around to plumbing the purge tubing. I decided to drill a small hole in the firewall behind the loom cover. I put a gromet in the hole with a hole in it the same size as the tubing so it fits nice and tight. I also got my custom bottle cover from Kellie Francis. If anyone likes the bottle cover and wants one, they make them in all different colors and have a bunch of different designs that they can embroider on them. Mine cost $31 shipped. The 10lb bottle covers are cheaper. Her email address is WINTE91@MSN.COM
