came back from running Neil (he's got to be an Omen) and it wouldn't idle without giving it gas. Then there was a slight tap that sounds like a valve tap of rocker tapping the valve cover above #2. pulled the VC's and everything looks in order so pulled rockers and checked pushrods for trueness. they are all straight. pulled the intake and found the dogbone on #1 was loose and flopping around. the retainer was bent up and no longer holding it down like it should. So pulled head to check piston and everything is all good. fixed the dogbone and now I just need to get 1 impala gasket to reinstall the head and put everything back together to do a compression test. I still have to pull the converter to send it off to PI to be fixed too. So much to do but no time to do it in.
