Last week was the first time Ive run the car with drag radials. I have to say I was very impressed with them. Other than the first pass. they hooked every time. The first pass was not a fair shot for the tires I dont think because nobody had been down that lane yet. Ive been to 5 other tracks with ET streets and it was allways a hit and miss game on hooking. I have got a 1.50 on the ET streets and a 1.52 on the dr's but I have not gotten use to the dr's yet. I know they will do better.

I'm gonna guess these aren't Nittos? Sounds a lot more like MT's. Guys are running about the same times with those vs. ET Streets. I'm kinda thinking about them myself.

yes they are mt's. one thing I really like is they dont move around like slicks. I had to put it on the converter really hard with the ET's. I could not do it with the DR's. you can see the car creep up in the vid with me and Mikey. the car had been sitting for a while and I think there is a small problem with the brakes. When I get that fixed. I'll be able to see what it can really do.

How does it respond to flashing the converter? I had a TCS4200 that loved to be stalled up and I had issues with it pushing too. The Yank4400 that's in there now does better just above idle. 1.50 with some worn out QTP's.
Soo.....I think I'll worry about the low braking at idle later. Swapped cam and then no brakes at the line. She does fine driving around though. You think it's a vacuum issue or mechanical? |

It does not have power brakes. It has areospace on the front and stock drums on the back. With a strange 1.125 bore master cylinder. It has been almost 2 years since the car has been to the track. I might have forgotten how mutch it pulls when you stall it. Ive been looking at it and I cant find anything wrong. I could put a trans brake on it but I dont know. seems a bit extreme for a street car. I was just wondering why is your car not on the top dog list.
