Default 08 Challenger SRT-8 Gets Magnacharged @ HHP Carolina

Scott brought his 08 Challenger to HHP Carolina looking to get a Stage II head/cam/intake package and while he was there asked about the new HEMI Magnachargers. Lucky for him our good customer Victor was there to take him for a ride in his Maggied Camaro. He had to have one and the rest is history.

We are very excited about this project and thought we would share it with everyone.

The build specs:

Magnacharger MP2300 tuner kit
HHP Stage II head/cam
Kooks LT headers w/ highflow cats
Corsa catback exhaust
ProTorque 3600 converter
Paramount performance valve body and SFI flywheel
Upgraded differential and stronger axels
DSS chromoly driveshaft
Hotchkis suspension upgrades
Custom HHP Carolina Diablo CMR tune

This car should be very streetable along with being very powerful. We can't wait to see the final numbers.

Getting some baseline numbers.

Time to get to work and get the exhaust down and transmission out.

SFI flywheel intalled

Pro Torque converter for the NAG1. Quickly becoming one of my favorite converter brands, especially in the HEMI market.

Out with the old...

All torn down and ready for the new.

HHP/BES Stage II heads. These have some of the nicest hand porting you'll ever see and have proven to perform.

Custom HHP Stage II blower cam waiting to go in.

Finally, the cherry to go on top.

This project is progressing quickly so there will be more updates soon!

From what I've been reading. You need to do something with the rear end too.

We are. He's getting an 09 Challenger diff, hubs, and axels. The 09 stuff is much stronger than the earlier years and is more than capable of handling the power. It also has a lower gear ratio.

Just a little update.

A lot has happend since the first post so we figured we would update you on the progress. The heads, cam, headers, and the Magnacharger have all been installed. Also, the RT differential, axels, hubs, and the rear portion of the Hotchkis suspension are installed. Getting closer!

The beautiful Maggie along with the 90mm TB and the very nice Moroso catch can. That blower looks right at home on the HEMI.

Rear cradle removed to get ready for the new RT components and Hotchkis parts to go in

The stock RT diff on the right, stock SRT-8 diff on the left. Notice the significant reinforcing making this a very strong and light piece

New RT axel on the left. Pretty easy to see where the increased strength is. These parts have shown to withstand up to 700 hp

Everything in and back in the car. Ready to be abused.

We have a few more items to go in before the tuning can begin, but things are moving along nicely.

Does the front drive actually run through the intake on that blower?
