I would think if it were a major restriction, Magnacharger would have used a different design.

Wow.. The power level is little benefit.. If clean is a "stock look" then Magna Charger is an excellent product.
No doubt Magna Charger makes a quality product, though I'm sure KenneBell flows better. The 6.1L engine with the KB installed by multiple vendors made just over 1000 hp. Very impressive.. |

Those 1000 HP 6.1's were not stock 6.1L engines, but the KB is certainly capable of getting one there. The stock pistons and rods won't tolerate much over 750 crankshaft HP for long. The cranks are forged stock and are good for much more.

I hope the owner has plans for bigger wheels/tires. I wonder how wide one can go without tubbing it?

That Magnacharger setup is very clean looking. I also noticed the aftermarket drive by wire throttle body.
I wonder if there's a company out there has brought to market any throttle cable conversions along with the necessary program changes to get rid of the drive by wire???

We use Diablo CMR for the Dodge/Chrysler stuff. We also offer it for GM if anyone has or wants a handheld, but most don't.

Thanks! I'm hoping to start getting some seat time this weekend. The owner is really getting anxious.

Got a little more project porn to share.
The DDS driveshaft assembly is in along with the Moroso driveshaft loop, the Kooks headers and highflow cats are in, and the Corsa Extreme exhaust is installed. The front springs and swaybar was installed and the SLP line lock was plumbed in. With all of this completed the base calibration was put in so the fluids could be topped off and the tuning will begin shortly. We still have a pillar gauge pod to go in and be wired, as well as, wiring the line lock, finalize the street/drivability portions of the calibration, and then the dyno tuning will take place. The owner was there to hear the initial start-up and is now REALLY antsy to get his car back, but we definately want to make sure the car is right and "debugged" before we turn it over. More to come... stay tuned! ![]() Aluminum flange adapters installed ![]() ![]() DSS driveshaft installed along with the Moroso DS loop ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Kooks longtube headers and high flow cats along with the Corsa Extreme exhaust. These items fit like a glove and really show the quality and performance you get for your money. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The challenger has almost the same rear end to driveshaft adapter as the GTO's

Yea, it's a very common European design. Mercedes, who helped designed this platform, has been using the rubber couplers since the sixties, maybe earlier, and the GTO= Holden, so.
