Default Ideal Garage Modified Master Cylinder

Have any of you guys heard of this? apparently he's taking stock masters for camaros and modifying them to move more fluid. I called them yesterday and he said hes sold hundreds for the camaro community and only a few for gxps... he's gotten zero feedback from the gxp guys tho.

Tick doesnt offer a solution for any of the 2009+ cars due to something with the PCM having a sensor around there or something.

I cant find anything about what hes doing to them. they look completely stock externally. i dont see how he could increase the flow without making a custom plunger or something.

hes either increasing stroke or bore size. my guess would be bore size since it still attaches to the same point on the brake pedal. right?

increasing bore would make for a slightly stiffer pedal, too i would think. but the difference may be very small.

idk... I'm currently on JustCommodores.com.au trying to figure out what they do in australia. my main concern right now is knowing which to order, v6 camaro or v8 camaro. The guy at ID said the v6 camaro one fits the gxp but when you cross reference stock part numbers the v8 part fits a GXP.

Maybe Tyler could look up the GM part numbers for the 3 different vehicles for you?

Like digger said most likely just increased bore size which will move a higher volume of fluid but it will increase pedal effort.

That'd be nice. when i put the V8 Camaro part number in most places it references a g8. all three show the exact same price on GMPartsDirect.com

Its the same as a v6 camaro. The v6 car has a MV5 trans where your car has the M10 but the clutch master cyliinder is the same.

The gm part number is a 92067134 for your car and an SS camaro is a 92199594.

I wonder what the difference between the SS and V6/GXP parts are. Everyone claims the part numbers are interchangeable.

what is the purpose of the higher volume cylinder? just wanting faster clutch action?

I've got a ZR1 slave cylinder since i now have a ZR1 twindisk in the car and the stock one doesnt move enough fluid. we tried to shim the slave to see if that would work and it didnt. basically the stock one is BARELY good enough to work with a stock clutch and any more fluid or effort required means you need a new master with this car. Theres a lot of threads on the camaro boards talking about how just swapping master cylinders got rid of high rpm grinding into 2nd and third gear with the stock setup. hopefully i'll fix the issue... if not i'm lost... the only other thing i can think of is tick offers a braided stainless line between the master and slave. I'm going to call them this week and see if they think it would fit.
